Thanks for allowing me to join this forum.  Long suffering VW owner who went back into the mix after a few years with sensible family cars.

Proud owner of a 1991 Mk2 Golf GTI I purchased almost 2 years ago from another passionate VW Golf GTI owner who did a lot of the hard work in restoring it, rebuilding the engine and adding some OEM+ " Boy Racer" add ons (276 Cam with. 2E block, Bilstein lowered springs and shocks, eibach sway bars)

I've been lucky enough to add my own touches like adding the BBS RA wheels, retrofitting a cassette CD stacker and slowly refurbishment of bits and bobs on a shell that has travelled 483,000 km since first registered in Australia.

Welcome Paulie

Technically the Golf is still a sensible family car, albeit a pretty old one!

It looks a beauty and has all the right bits
