I got Carista to do that, plus, as you say, a few other things. Mine has the slightly noisier exhaust of the 2019 MY Performance, so it’s fine, but the soundaktor noise is crap. You won’t miss it.

One question guys. If you disable soundaktor is it then disabled in all driving modes or you disable specific one like eco or normal?
And It doesn't void warranty does it?

Disabled in all modes. And doesn’t void warranty. It’s just a software tweak, no different to turning your air con off or on really, just a personal preference and something you should be able to change via the dash by default imo.

I think you can change it to anywhere between 0% and 100%, so you can tune it to your taste?

I don't mind it so much in Normal, as it blends in with the real noise a bit, but in Sport it's ridiculous.

Agree it should be possible but oh well looks like I'll have to get one of the adapters. Thanks
Mine on normal seems to sound quieter than in eco for whatever reason or maybe it is just my ears.

Which one is recommended for a noob like myself? Carista or OBD11 ?

Has anybody purchased from ‘RB Styling’,a German company who specialise in painted badges?
Very expensive, but they look spot on,especially the black/red GTI badges.
I personally don’t like chrome, inside or outside a car and like to darken as much as I can without it looking too chav like-think subtles the word.
Anybody dealt with this company??

Never ordered from them but the quality does look good. I did it the cheap way and took my side badges off and painted then gloss black then put a red badge skin on, same effect but much cheaper.

Carista is £15 plus subscription (first month free) or £9.99 pay as you go for a month pass. ODB11 is more advanced but costs £45 (or more for pro version). I went with Carista. Made my mods and leave it alone now. If I want to change something I can either buy a month pass or activate the Beta program for free 👍

Any photos Monsta?-tried myself on different cars, with varied success-bleach is excellent at removing chrome, takes a while tho.

Sure, I used PlastiKote black gloss spray paint to cover the original chrome finish, no need for bleach

Did the same for front and back too.
