Not especially cheap :wink: but I did buy a Karcher K4 pressure washer & Autobrite direct HD snow foam lance today so once it arrives I can get cleaning on my days off :laugh:

Anyone taking their car out for a cheeky drive? I’m 100% working from home and the wife’s Polo does the supermarket run. My GTI has been parked in my garage for 3 weeks now. Put away cleaned, polished & waxed but thinking its best to get it out for a run. There’s going to be a lot of flat batteries when things get back to normal... I expect car battery chargers will be the next thing to sell out on Amazon!

Mine goes out about once a week now, it's parked outside, filthy dirty and needs a wax too. My OH's Lupo hasn't moved since it was serviced a few weeks ago but it's used to not moving much, 17 years old and on not much more than 50k miles!

Only have the GTI couple of weeks so haven't managed to get any really long drives yet but do get to drive about 20km round trip to work each day, which is just a tease :grin:

I normally cycle to work (don't know why I have a car let alone a new GTI  :smiley: :smiley:) - but I am designated as a key worker (lowly local government) and as there is so few in my office and on the roads are quiet and the car novelty factor has not worn off yet, I am temp taking the opportunity to drive to and from the office

The novelty of driving a GTI doesn’t ever wear off in my opinion. First car I’ve ever had in 28 years of driving that I’ve not been ready to change after 12 months. Love every second.

nothing wrong with lowly local government 👍. Nobody would be getting paid if it wasn't for the team I work on and yet everyone still expects the money in the bank come pay day no matter what the circumstances are. How come you aren't working from home?

Agree 100%.

After a week on leave, followed by a week working from home, i was incredibly excited about driving into work yesterday morning.
It didn’t disappoint. I averaged 26 mpg on the way home, when normally I’d get mid 30s.
I can’t ever remember being this excited about working 😂
