My CSG Mk7 GTI Update (Pic Heavy)

Thought since had a few pics now rather than them being scattered in various threads I'd create my own update/progress thread to keep them all in the same place & have some where to record events during my Mk7 GTI ownership
Start at the beginning - Day 1 pick up 31/10/13 (Ordered 26/05/13)
(As many people have said as soon as you see it / get the keys the 5 month wait is quickly forgotten about)
Quick pic stop on the first night
A few days later had to give it up for 3 days but was so worth it......
It was booked in to get the Cquartz New Car Protection Plus Detail. I definitely recommend getting new car prep done via a professional detailer for those who are thinking about it.
For a brand new car it was covered in lots of swirls, holograms & had one or two scratches. The detailer said this was likely caused by the dealer wash/polish method & glue removal from the protective wrap
A few before/after shots
That's all so far
Next.....Trip to Wales possibly

Your car looks absolutely amazing. How much did the protection plus cost and where did you get it done? How long will it last before it needs the protection again?

Stunning photos.
I think that's made my mind up about getting my car detailed when it comes. When you said you gave it up for 3 days was that for the detailing & protection being done? Looks worth it!
Time to tell my dealer I no longer want his AutoGylm Protection.

Thanks Guys
Mine cost around £400 to get done by Defined Details in Glasgow. This was for the Cquartz ceramic coating detail including single stage machine polish correction. The product can last up to 2 years & you can top it up every 3 months or so using the Cquartz Reload spray (simple spray on wipe off procedure) which will likely extend the duration. More details in the link below
http://www.defined-details.co.uk/#!paint-protection/c10lh
-Moggy: Yes it took 3 days to get done as the ceramic coating needs 12hrs to cure & if I were you I'd definately cancel the dealers protection & use the money to get a professional to carryout the work.

Fantastic pictures, confirms that I have gone for the right colour choice (did not see it before I ordered) and better than the flat black
Placed my order at the local VW dealer, Managed a 12% Discount full tank of fuel and AutoGylm protection all thrown in to seal the deal. Only dilemma is do I let them use the Autogylm ? Has anyone had Autogylm done before ?
Current Car. Golf MK4 GT TDI, Silver, Leather, Winter Pack,
On Order. Golf MK7 GTD, Carbon Grey, Leather, Park Assist, Keyless Entry, Rear Camera. (3rd March 2014 Delivery)

Yeah I had the AutoGylm Life Shine treatment thrown in. Its a complete waste of time. It was however nice to get the full kit of polishes and cloths all presented in a nice holdall. I have no need to go to Halfords for a while

Looks great and so glad I went for that colour this time.
Amazing how the car had so many issues from the dealers.
