Boneybradley's blue Mk3 8v Anniversary!! The keeper?
« on: 14 January 2013, 18:09 »
Well I've finally done it and given up on Passat's (thanks to my insurers asking for way too much to add the wife!) adn I've swapped with a forum member for a Mk3 8v Anniversary 5 door (needed with my 3 young kids)

here it is.... in the snow! (I've already removed the red stripe along the doors to make it original, oh and my good stereo is now fitted)

first jobs to do
  • New clutch cable as the pedal is a bit hard
  • new suspension kit (I bought an fk kit with the car so this will done soon?)
  • swap the headlights for murdered originals (I'm not 100% about the twin's! and for what it will cost me to swap and check original's why not try!
  • fit a standard airbox and filter (it has a piperx induction kit if anyone wants to swap)
  • fit standard exhaust (it also has a sports exhaust/backbox? again if anyone wants to swap)
  • swap or paint the rear bumper as it has a corner scrape I don't like!
  • sort the creak/scrape on the steering wheel (I have a feeling the wheels being off or its dirty where the wheel bolts on? I will know more when I get it all off and checked out)
  • fit my component front & rear speakers, amp and sub box (speakers were bought for the Ssat but never fitted!)

After that...... I'm looking for idea's at the mo but will keep it looking mostly original??

What do people think about another (and the best) Mk3 moderator owning an Anniversary?

Nice colour!

it's not getting blue fricken lenses though!!

oh and it is o.e except for the crappy filter and exhaust and both will be getting changed very soon (i have an ad in the wanted section already and will buy or swap for o.e bits.... let's see how it progresses!)

I am thinking o.e with some minor improvements??  :lipsrsealed:  (oh and steel wheels for the wife driving!! them 7" bbs are expensive and rare!!)
