Good link - thanks Keith. So the DPF fills up over 120,000 miles or so until a second/third/fifth owner pays a back-street mechanic to tip it all out into the atmosphere anyway... :grin:
I wouldn't think so Mac it all depends how you drive it. I do 70% local running and the other time I give it a blast up the motorway to clean any $hit thats built up. I read on one forum that a guy had a new TDI on Sunday and on Wednesday his DPF light came on. They asked about his driving style and he said its just local 2 mile trips. Mine is local but my light has never come on.

Its all down to emmission regs. There is Passive and Active Regeneration of PDFs Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF)
2010 Golf GTD (170) CBBB, 5 Door, Shadow Blue (P6/D5Q), Flat Tyre Indicator, Basic Protection Pack + VCDS.
