Here are the pics of the front valance which I have colour coded as well

It's no anni or votex front valance but looks better than the nasty standard black finish!

Some of you may have seen the post in the Mods for under £100 section for some TT style pedals which I bought from vaglink.com. Now these only cost £16 and as I only had the R32 accelerator pedal I thought they would tidy up under my steering wheel quite nicely. A few people on ukmkivs had bought some and no one had any problems so I ordered some. They arrived today and I got straight outside and fitted them.

The clutch and brake pedal were a bit fiddly but a bit of patience and they slip on just like the OEM standard covers that were on there. The accelerator pedal was the same shape as my R32 one and needed some super glue to hold it on, just like the R32 one I had on there did. All in all I'm happy with them and for half the price of the genuine TT pedals that are well worth the money. I'll apologise now for the poor pics. And the mess footwell, really need to clean the inside of the car  :embarassed:

Next up is one of the eBay dead pedals and some new mats.

today I colour coded the bit behind the VW badge on the front grill. I quite like it but might wrap my VW badge in some black vinyl to see how that looks.

I finally decided to remove all the nasty rubber from a few of my interior bits on Tuesday. The bits I played with were the centre console (bit that goes around the gearknob), the ashtray lid, OBD port cover and the little plastic bit on the drivers door handle.

Took me about 3 hours to remove all the rubber using white spirit and a scotch pad then finally some wet and dry. As I had the net optic trim I decided just to do these bits in matt black. I'm really pleased with how they came out. Make's it all look new and clean again. I've also got a simple non slip rubber mat which I cut to shape for my iPhone to sit on underneath the handbrake. Eventually I will modify the plastic bit that goes round the handbrake which will add the ipod connection I have from my parrot bluetooth kit.

Here are a few pics, they show my hong kong gearknob, which I haven't taken any pics of yet, aswell.

I done the passenger and rear handles over the weekend as well.

Before:

After:

Looks so much nicer than the nasty peeling/scuffed rubber and makes the interior look clean and tidy now.

Attempted and succeeded in my first oil change today so there is now 4.5 litres of lovely fresh oil and a nice new, clean filter to keep her running nice and smooth. Once I have a bit more dosh I will be replacing all the other filters as well.

I've also got front and rear votex valances that need to be sprayed. Found them on ebay and paid the small total of £95 for both.

Started on my votex valances today. I've managed to sand the worst one, which was the front one, nice and smooth and filled the little scratches and scuffs.

At the moment it is sat in the dining room waiting for the filler to harden as it was taking forever to harden out in the shed. It's bloody cold out there!! LOL.
