Quick clear up before WWIII breaks out over something insignificant.
On the mk6 there are 3 maps available from Revo, a detuned one for low octane fuel, a mid range one for super unleaded and a race type fuel map. These are selected via the Revo switch. The ECU will adapt to the exact quality of fuel used on a given map, so therefore won't produce the full whack on a slightly lower grade fuel than ideal.
On older TFSIs and 1.8Ts you could manually adjust some settings to allow for further mods or better grade fuels over Revos stock 'safe' setting. On the TSI 2.0 the ECU works a little differently so you only get the three choices of basic mapping. Hence the 3 graphs on the Revo website from gossa's car (IIRC).
There are other things to consider too, one being the usual dyno lottery and the other being the size of the fan on the rolling road (heat soak etc).
Peak figures are largely irrelevant in a road car, the nicely shaped graph which is shown on the Revo website is mirrored more or less on the one I got today (albeit slightly lower bhp). It's very drive-able and most importantly to me, very torquey (not Torquay) which aids smooth driving.
