This was the 'dealer's full tank'. I think he did genuinely fill it up to the click (although I wasn't watching him, was busy telling the my mates on the back seats who had come along for the first little ride not to put their friggin feet up - i couldn't believe my mate he had frigging dirty shoes and left footprints on the brand new mats and he had the audacity to say they weren't his! WTF it's a brand new car and you're the first ph00ker to sit on that back seat jeez!)

Today i went to fill it up since it was approaching red, and I figured I wanted the cerimonial 'first tank of fuel' and keep the receipt for prosperity, so i went to the local Shell to fill it up with the best, V-Power

It ate 46.16 litres to the sum of £58.58 (126.9p per litre). Since i just put it on the credit card I was kinda oblivious to the amount, but after sitting down and writing this, it's properly expensive!
Knowing the car goes really well (at least to me) with the lower octane stuff, I think I will stick with that, and maybe not even filling up a whole tank.

I put in V-Power yesterday at £1.24.9 per litre!
I used the pay by card system, and was holding down the handle on the nozzle... when the machine just started slowing down and stopped.  £60 on the nose, and only about 48 litres.
It seemed my card gave me a 'Maximum Fill of £60' - but I never noticed it say that.  I got in the car, and the needle was just shy of full  :sad:

I noticed my red light come on about 2 miles before I went to the petrol station... and when it came on I had only 20 miles remaining!  The gauge looked like it still had plenty though!

p3eps, if its anything like mine it will say it has 20 miles remaining and then within the next few miles it is down to 0 remaining.
I've drove around 20 miles while it says 0 just looking for an open Shell garage!!
So you can still get a good few miles out of the tank. I'm sure there was a thread on here stating they got 30 odd when the tank said 0.

I have already filled mine twice with BP Ultimate 97 Ron. Bloody expensive driving in traffic jams to and from work but still more pleasant than an underground journey!
Getting around 25 mpg at present.

Another Update...

Following the compensatory Monza's, my build date has now shifted again to BW20 and they estimate a mid June delivery. It better not move again.... I'm a bit confused by "StuTheDon"'s confirmed BW20 now though, as I'm told that confirmations only come through 2 weeks before build commences. Comments?

How did you manage that?

By being on the phone pretty much all afternoon today to VW dealers and stumbling across a compassionate one who felt pity on me when I explained the woes of my delayed R order.

Not all signed and sealed yet. Hopefully by tomorrow it'll all be done and dusted.
