looking on ebay as usual and these things are all over for about 25 quid.

VW GOLF Mk2 8v GTI JETTA DIGIFANT 6HP PERFORMANCE CHIP

HERE ON OFFER TO YOU IS A GENUINE PERFORMANCE CHIP. THIS CHIP IS BRAND NEW, AND WAS DESIGNED AND PROGRAMMED AT ONE OF THE UK'S PREMIER PERFORMANCE MOTORSPORT SPECIALIST!
THIS IS A 28 PIN CHIP THAT FITS INTO YOUR ECU ( NOT A FAKE RESISTOR ) DESIGNED TO OPTIMISE IGNITION AND FUEL MIXTURE ON 8V DIGIFANT ENGINES.
IGNITION TIMING AND FUEL MAPS HAVE BEEN ALTERED TO ELIMINATE THAT REALLY ANNOYING DIGILAG HESITATION, MAKING FOR A MUCH SMOOTHER AND MORE ENJOYABLE DRIVE AT LOW DOWN REVS. MPG ON LONG TRIPS WILL IMPROVE
PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN AND YOU WILL NOTICE INCREASED THROTTLE RESPONSE, POWER AND TORQUE THROUGHOUT THE REV RANGE!!! THIS IS BECAUSE THE CHIP HAS  NOW ENABLED YOUR ENGINE TO MAXIMISE COMBUSTION.
YOU CAN EXPECT TO GAIN AT LEAST 6HP! MORE IF YOU HAVE OTHER ENGINE MODIFICATIONS.  HOWEVER THE DRIVABILITY OF THIS CHIP IS WORTH THE MONEY ALONE!
THIS IS A SIMPLE DIY! INSTALLATION THAT SHOULD TAKE NO LONGER THAN 30 MINS. NO SOLDERING OR SPECIAL TOOLS REQUIRED. FULL DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR INSTALLATION OF THIS CHIP INTO YOUR ECU.

sorry it goes on for a bit but basically wanted to know if anyone has one fitted and if they work, if they are worth the cash etc etc or if not, any suggestions for increasing bhp

i have a Dastek Uni-chip in my digi. its  reprogrammable so it can be tuned and set on the rolling road to suit, match and compliment my exsitng engine mods and not try to suit an average set up as a fixed chip would.

its was a bit pricy but most of the cost was rolling road time.

aye up me duck!
