hi. can anyone recommend a good steering lock for under £50 please?

I don’t use a steering wheel lock, but for your budget I’d be looking at the Stoplock Elite Pro which sells for around £50. If you’re prepared to increase your budget a little, then the Milenco High Security steering wheel lock is probably worth considering.

Edit; In the review tests from 2022 at the link below, both of the above resisted attack for more than five minutes and were rated first and second respectively in the tests. There also less cumbersome to use than some of the steering wheel locks that cover the entire steering wheel.

The prices quoted in the linked article are 2022 prices so are likely to be higher now, although it’s always worth searching the internet as quite often you’ll be able to find offers or discount codes. Bear in mind that there may be different versions / sizes of certain security locks depending on the size of a car’s steering wheel, so always ensure you buy the correct size for your car.
